so i have just got photomatix and it seems quite simple to use....are their any tips you can give to a new Photomatix user?

There are plenty of tutorials out there for PhotoMatix and loads of presets available for free. In the main I use Machinery HDR Effects because it's easier to get a landscape photograph that's not too dramatic from it so it's been a while since I used PhotoMatix.

Which other HDR programs are there that are any good...I have heard of a couple but have never tried them. Might have to have a browse tonight for some presets...are they all from Photomatix or are there 3rd party/user submitted ones on different sites?
